“In order to win, we should operate at a faster tempo or rhythm than our adversaries”

— John Boyd, USAF Retired

“Decisions without actions are pointless. Actions without decisions are reckless.”

-– John Boyd, USAF Retired

What is OODA loop and why is it important?

OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide and Act) refers to the decision cycle and was developed by Military Strategist and retired USAF Colonel John Boyd. While it was originally developed for war games, it is now far more applicable in the business environment. The approach favors Agility over raw power in dealing with human behavior. It’s also about operating at a faster tempo.

Enjoy this ~ 1 hour video for a detailed review of how to apply the concept of OODA loop in current business context.
